Welcome to us – the Afro-diasporic and Black communities around Stuttgart! We are dedicated contributors to the Black History Month, a global celebration recognizing the history, achievements, and successes of Black individuals. Originating in the USA in the 1920s, the Black History Month has made its mark in Germany since the 1990s. In February, we organize various.

We are a collective of Afro-diasporic and Black communities around Stuttgart, contributing to making Black and Afro-diasporic history visible in Germany. Through various collaborations such as exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and workshops, we create a diverse program for Black History Month in February, celebrating our Afro-diasporic and Black roots, stories, and achievements.

Our Goals

We are passionately committed to bringing to light the history, achievements, and successes of Black individuals, thereby creating visibility. Through diverse events such as film screenings, panel discussions, and empowerment workshops, we aim to cultivate deep awareness while dismantling prejudices and colonial legacies. This mission is reflected in our diverse program, aiming to celebrate our Afro-diasporic roots, stories, and successes, while simultaneously strengthening our community. Latifa Anita Warrelmann

Latifa A. Warrelmann is a journalist. She assists families and individuals in bringing harmony and clarity to their own history and identity

Florence Awotula

The mezzo-soprano Florence Awotula was born in Heidelberg and raised in London and Villingen-Schwenningen. She recently studied singing at the HMDK Stuttgart. Florence Awotula works as a singer, voice teacher, and choir conductor in Stuttgart and the surrounding area.

Financial education is the foundation for a self-determined and independent life. This makes it all the more important that our children and young adults learn a basic understanding of how to handle their own money responsibly and learn about the possibilities of financial freedom.
